WE FOUND HIM!!!!! I got a call at about noon, just before we were going to head for the Humane Society and it was the police. They had a nice family call in saying they had the dog. They picked him up around Peters Avenue, which is about... 2 blocks away. They took him home and fed him hot dogs because he wouldn't eat any dog food there. They had a Bichon and some cats. The lady said that Howie was so well behaved and nice. We picked him up and my mom started to freak out and started screaming when she saw the dog. We gave the lady a hug and thanked her for taking such good care of our little lost dog. The lady said that he was so cold when they picked him up around 8ish. She actually called the police around 8-8:30 to report the dog found, but I hadn't filed my report yet and when I did they said a dog that matched that description wasn't found. The PD needs some new help I think.. She said she tried to have him sleep in bed with them, but he was whining a lot so she tried to take him out, but that wasn't it. he missed us. None of us slept all that well.

But thank god she found him and was kind enough to open her home to a little lost dog for a night.

In all the commotion and emotion, we didn't catch their names, so we're going to drop off a card with $50 in it to show our appreciation.

My dog Howie went missing today at around 6:30. He is black and tan with a docked tail. We still have not found him.. and it's 1:44am here now.

Please keep him in your thoughts this cold winters night. Hopefully some nice people picked him up and are going to keep him safe and warm until they can take him to the Humane Society tomorrow.

We looked EVERYWHERE for this little bastard, and he is NOWHERE to be found. He's quite a scaredy cat, so he really wouldn't have run off. We think someone picked him up.

I feel... kind of.. dirty and violated as a viewer...
